Jose A. Sorto, DM, MBA, CMRP

26-year U.S. Air Force veteran

Dr. Jose Sorto is a healthcare executive and 26-year U.S. Air Force veteran with extensive experience in healthcare operations, customer experience, strategic planning, business development, and government and international health initiatives. His leadership experience includes serving within the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, military health systems, and private-sector healthcare organizations.

Throughout his career, Jose has led complex healthcare operations, multimillion-dollar programs, strategic partnerships, remote patient care in rural communities, telehealth initiatives, and remote patient monitoring programs. His experience within the VA healthcare system provides firsthand insight into the opportunities and challenges Veterans face in accessing and navigating care.

As Co-Founder and Strategic Partnerships Lead at Our Sun Health, Jose focuses on building partnerships that advance a veteran-led, rural-first model of connected care—bringing together healthcare providers, technology, community resources, and innovative care solutions to help bring quality healthcare closer to home.
